2. Scope of Services


Northern Pathways provides private and curated travel experiences in Northern Portugal.


Services may include:


  • Design and organization of bespoke experiences
  • Private guiding services
  • Coordination of local activities
  • Reservation of services with selected third-party partners


Northern Pathways operates exclusively in the field of experiences and does not sell package holidays including combined transport and accommodation under the EU Package Travel Directive.


Certain services may be delivered by carefully selected third-party providers. Northern Pathways acts as curator and coordinator of these services.


3. Booking Process


All booking requests are subject to written confirmation.


A booking is considered confirmed only after:


  • Written confirmation by Northern Pathways, and
  • Payment of the required deposit



Submission of a booking request does not constitute a confirmed reservation.


4. Payment Terms


A deposit of 25% of the total experience value is required to confirm the booking.


The remaining balance must be paid no later than the agreed date prior to the experience (typically up to 7 days before the scheduled date, unless otherwise agreed in writing).


Payments may be made via the available methods indicated during the booking process.


5. Cancellation Policy


Northern Pathways offers a flexible cancellation policy under normal circumstances:


  • Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the scheduled experience are eligible for a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled experience may be non-refundable.



This flexible policy applies provided there are no exceptional operational costs already incurred (such as pre-paid third-party services).


In the event of extraordinary circumstances (extreme weather, safety concerns, or force majeure), Northern Pathways reserves the right to reschedule the experience or provide an alternative solution.


6. Modifications by the Client


Requests for changes to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur additional costs.


7. Modifications by Northern Pathways


Northern Pathways reserves the right to modify aspects of an experience due to:


  • Weather conditions
  • Safety considerations
  • Operational requirements
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond reasonable control


Any changes will maintain the quality and integrity of the experience whenever possible.


8. Responsibility and Liability


Northern Pathways acts as organizer and curator of private experiences.


While all third-party providers are carefully selected, Northern Pathways cannot be held responsible for:


  • Negligence or acts of third-party service providers
  • Events beyond reasonable control


Participants are responsible for:


  • Ensuring they are physically fit for the selected experience
  • Declaring any relevant medical conditions
  • Holding appropriate travel insurance


9. Insurance


Clients are strongly advised to obtain appropriate travel and medical insurance covering cancellation, accident, and personal liability.


10. Data Protection


All personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

11. Governing Law


These Terms & Conditions are governed by Portuguese law.


Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent Portuguese courts.
